Strandbeests at Exploratorium in San Francisco, California

—————————–

Strandbeest are the Dreams Machines of Theo Jansen, a dutch artist.  They are sculptures made of PVC that walk when powered by wind.  The Exploratorium in San Francisco is having live demonstrations of Strandbeests from May 26 to September 6, 2016.  The Exploratorium demonstration shows how Strandbeests are able to store air pressure and use it to walk if there is no wind.
